The End of February
Well, the shortest month of the year is almost over -- and hopefully that means the wacky weather is about done too! Trust us, we don't like it any more than you. We've got some great deals going for March, with a Spring Break Sale in the works. Come out and see us; we have something for every taste. Our used vehicle inventory is extensive, and we still have an overload of new Kias we'd love to put in your garage!

The Elusive White Tiger
Kia has put out a new limited-edition Soul, and it's cooler than all the others! Following the success of its 2010 limited editions -- the Ghost, the Sinister, and the Ignition -- Kia has come up with the "White Tiger". I've put a few pictures on here; to see the whole car, check out our facebook page. But pictures don't really do it justice; come by and check one out! It truly is one-of-a-kind!

Beautiful in Blue
Go to our FB page and check out these up-close and personal pictures of the 2011 Kia Optima SX! We just got this blue one into our showroom. It is a beautiful, fast, economical, and very affordable car -- not to mention, it'll turn heads wherever you take it. It's worth a lot more than one glance! I put a couple of pictures on here as a teaser...but there's a lot more to see!

God's Guinea Pigs
Seriously? It was cold for most of the day yesterday, and it's supposed to be cool tomorrow (56 degrees). But it'll be 73 today...why can't the Good Lord make up His mind as to which kind of weather He'd like to have here? Or are the people of the Texas Panhandle God's guinea pigs for weather patterns? I feel like we're in the midst of some strange cosmic science experiment!

Wherever the wind blows
I guess in this part of the country you have to deal with the wind on a daily basis; but it's worse in some places than others. We are out here, on the edge of town, with virtually nothing to block the wind in any direction. So if the wind is cool, we're gonna be cold out here. Kinda makes me wonder why all the car lots moved off of Georgia street and out here onto Soncy; the wind certainly blows less in the center of town than it does out here! What were they thinking?

The Man Himself
Pete was at the new car desk a little while ago, and one of our salesmen came in with a deal on a new Sorento. His customer wanted to get the full $2500 in rebates, but she didn't have a car that qualified. So Pete got on the phone with Kia's District Sales Manager and got an exception for this lady on the full rebates. Even though she didn't qualify, we were able to save her an additional $1500. This is what we're all about: being proactive in helping our customers! Rather than having a "whatever" attitude about it, we try to get as much savings for each customer as we can. How many other dealerships would simply say, "well, you don't qualify, so that's that"? Yet another advantage of being a locally owned and operated, customer-driven dealership.

A wonderful day
Hope everyone in Internet-Land enjoyed the lovely weather we had here in Amarillo today. Sure, it was a little windy; but this is West Texas, right? The only time the wind doesn't blow is right before a tornado strikes. So I'm thankful for the wind, and the warmth. We had a great day here at Pete's -- we sold 12 cars, our most productive day this month. And it'll just get better from here.
That was quick!
Well, as I told y'all yesterday, we got a new Optima SX in. But I'm glad to report that we don't have it anymore! The first person that came in to look at the Optima SX bought it. Not only that, but they were perfectly happy paying the sticker price of $31,280. And when you think of it, that's several thousand dollars less than any of Optima's competitors. Go drive a $40,000 Nissan Maxima, or a $38,000 Toyota Camry, or a $38,000 Honda Accord. Then come drive a $32,000 Optima and tell us which one is a better car. We think you'll agree -- the Optima is superior in every category: comfort, power, technology, warranty, and safety! No wonder the Optima stole the show at the annual New York Auto Show!

Optima SX finally in!
Hey everyone, we just got a new 2011 Kia Optima SX this morning! If you haven't seen the new Optima, you don't know what you're missing! The SX is an awesome car -- it's ridiculously powerful, gets great fuel economy, and has a ton of features (not to mention a 10 year, 100,000-mile warranty!). And its price will definitely surprise you. Automobile magazine says the Optima "can legitimately vie for the title of best midsize family sedan on the market." Check it out here: http://www.automobilemag.com/reviews/driven/1012_2011_kia_optima_sx/index.html

The Smell of New Leather
I love the smell of new leather. Sometimes I sit in a new car on the showroom floor just so I can smell the newness of the leather interior. Do they make an air freshener that smells like that? I'm tired of all the flower-scented air fresheners. How about a manly scent?

Another satisfied customer
One of the things we like the most about our job is helping people out. Matthew just sold a truck to a guy whose old truck had finally broken down; he didn't think he could buy anything, but we got him a nice GMC Sierra for a great price! We love what we do!

We at KIA Motors are all about the newest technology - there is so much that makes our lives easier!

What a day
Days like this, it kinda stinks that we have to work. Too bad there's not a golf course across the street.
First-time blogger!
Well, we're starting to get with the 21st century here at Pete's Car Smart Kia. That's right; we finally have a Facebook page and a blog. Twitter coming soon... We hope everyone enjoyed the nice weather we had last week! Our salesmen have been throwing snowballs at each other for 6 days now. If you come out today, watch for errant snowballs; it's not completely melted yet!
